VISIT IN STILBAAI

We had a wonderful rest in Stilbaai sleep late in the morning.   Visiting little quaint shops.  Well needed rest after packing up in Port Elizabeth, you know when you move how much work is involved.

We spent many wonderful hours at the Lagoon with the dogs.

Days we did not go to the beach were spent at the flat just lazing about enjoying our break.

Before leaving Port Elizabeth, Cola had, had a three days of seizures while Bertie was in Nigeria,  It was awful, just awful.  She was having seizures about every two weeks and I was so stressed.  Even with friends around you are alone when you have a dog that suffers from Epilepsy.  She eventually landed up at Walmer Veterinary Hospital in Port Elizabeth.  The prognosis was not good.  We had to make a decision.

I just could not let Cola go.  We decided to give it one more chance.  I had prayed for Cola many, many times.  While watching her body contort during a seizure. Wetting herself and after the seizures (clusters)  after effects of pacing for hours.  It truly is heart wrenching to watch helplessly.  We changed her meds and decided no matter what we where taking her with.  During our stay in Stilbaai she had a small grand mal.  Photo below of Bertie laying with Cola after the seizure.

Last Beach days before leaving for Cape Town.

Then it was time to move on to Cape Town to visit with my daughter and son.

Thank you Stilbaai for a lovely stay.
